Crohn's and Headaches

Hey folks,

I've had a headache now for about 3 weeks. I had an MRI this week and the results came back good...no issues. I also only ever get about 3 headaches a year and they subside rather quickly (hours..if not 1 day.)

I've been on Humira for 22 months.

Has anyone experienced this problem? I have an appt. tomorrow with a neurologist.

Tramadol didn't even dull the pain. I'm having a hard time concentrating and focusing these last few weeks.

I am on Remicaid and also take Imuran.. I had never been prone to migraine until i started taking the meds for Crohns ... I always attributed it to stress .. but I have been in remission for years and still struggle from frequent migrains... I also suspect that the meds had a part in my headaches...

I was diagnosed in 07 so I have pretty much accepted the headaches and occasional mini flares lasting about 3- 4 hours as part of this condition. . I consider myself lucky because I could be and have been much worse. But I think if I catch the headaches early... they're not as bad...

Update:
Went to a neurologist. She thought I either had a migraine or tension headache (even though I've never had either.) She put me on a round of Prednisone (12 days) and rizatriptan. Headache has mostly gone away. I tell you, combined with the Humira, Prednisone formed my stool pretty darn good. I haven't felt that good going to the bathroom in a VERY long time.
