Remicade joint pain?

I'm sure this has been covered many times. My Daughter has been on Remicade for about 2yrs. now. Has been working well.

She has been having pretty severe joint pain, (knees, shins, and back primarily), after an infusion, that usually subsides in a day or two.

Does this have anything to do with antibodies to Remicade? Other than that, she has no side effects at all.

I had the opposite - the joint pain would set in a few weeks after an infusion. Then literally go away by the end of an infusion. It would travel as well. It always started with a slightly stiff neck, then it would randomly hit body parts throughout the days.

We tried shortening infusion dates form 8 weeks to six weeks but the pain got worse.

Either way, worth getting tested for antibodies. Mine was about the 2 year mark as well. I stopped Remicade and the pain never returned. The disease however flared.... so that part sucks.

Yes, she's been on Imuran for several years, and continued it when she went to Remicade. She never had any side effects for the 2 years she was on Imuran alone Some hair loss was about it.
