Remicade antibodies?

Does anyone know what the typical outward signs/symptoms are that might indicate whether you're developting antibodies to Remicade.

I seem to be getting conflicting advice, and can't seem to get much information on the topic.

I know the bloodtest is truly the only way to know for sure, but would like to know what signs to look for ahead of time.

The easiest to interpret sign is that the Remicade isn't as effective as it once was. I'm starting to wonder if I developed them almost immediately because Remi never helped me much.

Hi,

In my experience, one doesn't know until it hits you with alternating joint pain, and I mean you cant sit down, get up, pour water into coffee maker, etc.. The rheumy will do an ANA, double stranded blood test, but not until she is showing symptoms. The only meds that work for both Remicade induced Lupus and Crohns together are MTX and steroids. Nothing else will touch it. This is the only pain that comes close in comparison to a periannal abscess.

I had a shortlived abscess and so my GI postponed remicade and tested me for antibodies using the prometheus test. I also had itchy arms and hive like rashes when I scratched them.
It turned out I didn't have antibodies and I was stuck fighting my insurance for 6 months until they finally agreed to pay the $5000 for that one blood test (where they come to your home and take your blood).
That was almost 3 years ago and I'm still on remicade.
