How much flagyl and how long have u taken it for?

I have a fistula that's not healing my doc gave me 28 days worth three a day to heal it up. Is this too much?

I am not sure if it's too much, but definitely make sure you are taking a probiotic. I highly recommend Florastor since it is yeast-based, so it works much more effectively against c. diff. Even though Flagyl is used to treat c. diff., it can also cause c. diff.

Seems like a lot to me!
I usually get only a week's worth of cipro and flagyl and that is bad enough!
Makes me so nauseous, metal taste in the mouth, upset stomach, and it did not close my fistula.
The only thing that did that was remicade, and even then it was only for a few months.

I've taken flagyl for several weeks in a row before, when I've had bad flares. I've never had a fistula so I don't know what the typical dose would be for that.

I have been on Flagyl and Cipro since the beginning of July for a fistula which also isn't healing. The doctor just prescribed another 2 weeks of both which will take me to 10 weeks so far...

It seems like rafaximin is helping my fistula heal.

I am currently on both Cipro and Flagyl (3 x day). I have already been on it 3 weeks and will be on at least another 2 weeks until my surgery.
