after colon removed still have uc pain how to tell of it is crohns

I had the surgery in Feb. 2013 so I am all healed but I was diagnosed with cronic u.c. because it was solid all over my colon. I was first diagnosed in 2004 and both at that time and after they inspected my colin after they removed it the doctors said that they thought it was uc but couldn't rule out crohns. I still have all the belly pain, joint pain and now I struggle with nausia. With my colon out I can not have a colonoscopy so how do they determin or not if I have crohns? By the way I have a bag outside of my belly so it is not issues with a j-pouch inside.

Well if it's Crohn's it can appear in the small bowel. I think they can stick a scope inside the stoma to see a little way behind it. Other than that, standard small bowel tests, such as MRI scan, barium follow-through, etc. My GI goes in for MRI scans.
