Unfortunately, it is a thing. I have it. Specialist drs. indicated that over time, as I improved on the treatment for my crohn's, it would reduce the overall inflammation in my body, and the leg pain I had would subside, eventually. It has taken a long time, but when I first started on this forum, I could barely walk. I had to push through the pain during exercising, but eventually it worked. My blood work, C-reactive protein started at 20 at the point of diagnosis 6 years ago and is now down to 1.8. I use to joke, that I had to go to the bathroom all the time from crohn's but couldn't make it there because of my leg pain. Stretching and yoga are my go to when I get that type of pain. As for meds, savella works for me for leg pain. It's a non-narcotic and does not affect my daily ability to think and function and it works!
