Sore Spots

I am having a strange problem that I cannot seem to find the answer to.

It all started after my C.Diff infection in April. I took Vanco, and two days after stopping I developed sore spots in my abdomen. One is in my terminal ileum area, and the other is in a direct straight line on the opposite side. They are both along one of my scars from a previous resection.

After searching for months I finally stumbled across something that matches my symptoms perfectly. It is called Mesenteric lymphadenitis. Basically inflammation of the lymph nodes. They never both hurt at the same time which is just odd. If it was from food passing over them then there would have to be a time when food was in both locations at once. I mean I would have noticed it at least once in the past four months. Sometimes I stuff myself with food after taking entocort to see if I can get them to both hurt at the same time, and I cannot. They come and go, and it is never a constant thing. Some days they don’t hurt it is more of just a sensation. Other days they hurt bad.

I am going to get an ultrasound to see if they show up. I have had CT scans, and small bowel with no luck.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Since they are over surgical spots, they could very very easily be adhesions. This is when a cut/damaged area heals to another layer that it isn't supposed to. When I eat something that doesn't agree with me, I get really sore spots right under the scars from my gallbladder removal. In those areas, the skin healed to the intestine a bit, so it pulls and becomes sore because it can't move around as much. I also am having a similar pain with this current pregnancy because my c-section scar has a couple of adhesions, so as my stomach gets bigger, things kind of pull because they aren't supposed to be attached and it gets pretty tender. I'm surprised at how painful they can be at times.

Enterobacter aerogenes. From a culture, and it has many antibiotics it is resistant to.

I took Azithromycin last week thinking I knew what the problem was. I only took it for two days at a very high dose. It has knocked out 2 of the spots. I developed a third spot about 1 month ago. Azithromycin failed to completely knock out the new spot so I am going to try one of the antibiotics that killed it in the lab. I am going to wait though because I am worried about c.diff, and I want to talk to a doctor first about this. There are 13 antibiotics on the list that are resistant.

I have four to pick from that show it will kill it.
