My husband is wanting to go back to school part-time to get his graduate degree. We got married his senior year of undergrad, and the plan had been for him to just go straight through and get his PhD. However, I got so sick (13 hospitalizations in our first 8 months of marriage, and 30 so far in our 4 years of marriage), so after he graduated, he got a job with good benefits instead (I am still unable to work with ongoing chronic health problems).
We found a good program that he can do online, but it is pricey. With my medical bills, there isn't much wiggle room. And we'd hate to have to take out student loans. We're looking into his company helping pay for it, but we just weren't sure if anyone knew of any good US programs or scholarships that can provide assistance for caregivers going to school. I've found several for caregivers of aging relatives or veterans, but I am neither, so we don't qualify.
Thanks!
