Dental procedures while on Humira

Hello,

Can you please let me know what happens to you when you are on Humira and have to go the dentist. I had a small procedure done and they told me I had a infection but wouldn't give me antibiotics. It was on Tuesday and it is now Thursday and it hurts to even brush my teeth let alone eat anything on that side of my mouth. From looking at me you can't tell since I am not swollen. This is just very weird. So I figured I would ask for help. Thx

My Daughter just had to have a wisdom tooth removed. Only difference is she's on Remicade, not Humira, but I think it's the same approach.

Anti-biotics aren't the problem, it's that you shouldn't be taking Humira is you have an infection. You should be able to take the antibiotic in between injections. For dental I think the usual is 7-10 days.

It sounds like you might have an abscessed tooth.
