I have been on humira for about a year for crohn's disease ended up losing insurance so last shot was the end of august have been doing well but am in the hospital now. But insurance kicks back in, in a few months so is it of to go back on humira she I start seeing my doctor again?

If you ended up in hospital, you should see your doctor ASAP, not in a few months' time. I'm not really sure of the protocol in this type of situation, but I think it's probably best to see your doctor (who I hope is a GI) before re-starting the Humira.

Thank you very much I'm still really learning about crohn's I was diagnosed in 2011 but never really experienced a flare up or anything till 2013 and finally got put on humira in September of 2014 and have done really good on it. Until now but they have done ct scans and say everything looks fine but they addmited me into the hospital and the one gi I am seeing while I am here is pretty much telling me since I'm not on humira and they put me on something else it isnt going to completely work and eventually I will die of malnutrition so I was just curious how this worked as far as the medicine goes.

I don't know how severe your Crohn's disease is, or what your nutritional status is at the present time but very few of us die of malnutrition with Crohn's. And if your CT looks fine, it doesn't sound that bad. So I don't know what your doc is talking about.

Yeah, that doctor sounds like he's scaremongering. All the same, I'm slightly curious as to why you were admitted if your CT scan looked fine - ask about your blood test results. Maybe your inflammatory markers are raised.

Thank y'all very much and I'm in here because the swabbed my back side and tested it and it showed there was blood so now I'm getting ready for a colonoscapy and I am hurting really bad in the lower right abdamin and hip region just hope they can figure out what's going on

Dying of malnutrition? WHAT??? They have feeding tubes and TPN, a central line to the heart, to help you stay nourished. Where do you live? Get some Ensure!!

My CT scans never show anything, then they go in with the scope and it always shows a mess. I think the sooner you can get back on Humira or something else the better. From August is a long time without treatment.

I paid out of pocket for Humira for years. If you go to Humira.com, there is co pay as sit. I have paid 5 dollars for months!!
