Has anybody experienced Nerve Damage w Fistula?

Has anybody suffered from nerve damage as a result of their perianal fistula?

After several years of perianal pain, I developed a large abscess & later a transsphincteric horseshoe fistula. I had more abscesses drained & then the pain moved also to my genital area.

I decided to have surgery which was a three-part staged fistulotomy. The last one was almost a year ago.

I'm feeling much better with the exception of occasional painful skin tags now & the residual nerve pain.

I saw my doctor last week who thinks it could be pudendal neuralgia & has prescribed Gabapentin.
