A lump behind ear

A couple of days ago, I started to have itching behind my ear. The itching subsided but I can feel that there is a lump. Should I worry esp. that I'm on Remicade or what? I let my sister touch it and she said it's a very small lump.Whom should I see: a general surgeon or my GI?

My sister in law had a little lump behind her ear which grew into a bigger lump.  Her General Dr. said it was a benign cyst, but sent her to a surgeon to remove it.  While she waited for her appointment, it went away on it's own. 

If you have any swellings at the side/ back of the neck, it could be a swollen lymph node from virus, or an infection or something but  best to run it by your doctor just to make sure it's okay.

I've got two swollen lymph nodes on my neck right now and take remicade.
They've been here almost a week! ugh so annoying and I can't get the remicade because of them!
When I looked up swollen lymph nodes, one of the things they mentioned was also swollen lymph nodes by ears and behind necks.
I contacted my GI and you should too!

Dorri and Gypsyfp, thank you. It's now spreading to behind my two ears and it's not only one. At least this means that they are swollen lymph nodes. I'll call my GI to take an appointment.

Ancote, thank you very much. It is very informative. Saw my GI who referred me to a surgeon whom I'll see next week. The GP assured me that this is a swollen lymph node. My GI mentioned that the surgeon would put me antibiotics. Keep your fingers crossed the abx don't throw me in a flare up or irritate my stomach.

I had chronic upper and lower respiratory infections while on Remicade--it's one of the most common side effects.

Tiller, thank you for the article. Mine disappeared on its own after more than 10 days. I didn't take any meds for it.
