Tapering steroids low grade fever

I have been tapering medrol and I'm at 2 mg for 2 days and 1 mg for a day and so on.. When I started this taper i developed a low grade fever. Other symptoms are fatigue, weakness, nausea and stomach pain. The fever and crash starts around 3pm for the past 3 days..
My mom had a stomach bug last weekend so I'm praying i just caught that, but anyone else ever had these symptoms tapering down such a low dose?

You may want to contact your doctor or his/her nurse, especially since your mother has been sick. I would be more concerned about the combination of your immune system being compromised and the real potential for coming down with a stomach virus. I had that happen before and it landed me in the hospital.

But I also experienced symptoms like that when tapering off steroids, sans a stomach virus. The longer you're on them and the higher the dose you started out with, usually the worse these symptoms are. I had to slow the tapers down to help alleviate it, but if you have a limited supply, that's not necessarily possible.

I don't know if I'm typical of having that feeling of coming down with the flu when I taper steroids, but I know that was typical for me, and I was once steroid dependent after having been on them for about 1.5 yrs.
