SIBO turned out to be the cause of the recurrence of symptoms

Since Thursday, things progressed very quickly. Bms have become very watery and v.v. loose. LRQ returned with vengeance. Abdominal pain was like 8/10. Saw my GI who was very alarmed by theses new symptoms. They are def not new but have subsided several months ago. I was put on rifaximin again (had to take a break of it more than a month ago) + a probiotic + a new antispasmodic I haven't taken before. The weirdest thing was that I knew there was something wrong but was trying to cope. Saw the assistant before seeing my GI and he suggested intensifying remicade doses to be every 4 weeks, which my GI hasn't approved of yet. My GI told me that I'll take the dose after 7 weeks this time, also.

Out of experience because this is the 8th or 9th round of rifaximin I take in the last 4 years, it is effective. Rifaximin makes for me a balance between d and c; I don't have these urgent bms; and I get a flat stomach, no distention any more. When I took the 2nd and 3rd doses of Remicade, I was on rifaximin then and had no issues. However, I was off rifaximin during the first and 4th dose and had severe abdominal pain hours after I've taken the dose. I don't know whether it is a coincidence or what.
