I had my scope on Aug 9 and the doc said that while all was visibly clear, he wanted to wait for biopsy because inflammation only showed on my last one in the TI and he was able to get pretty far in.
Anyway, back and forth with his assistant to set up an appointment for the Video Capsule Endoscopy has been a giant pain. Finally today she scheduled the appointment and unless I miss class (which I can't really do), I have to wait until the only available Tuesday morning....October 10! That's two months after my scope & doc said he wanted to just have me in to discuss both results at the same time. But I asked if I can get in or get a phone call about scope biopsies before then.
In the meantime, my BMs are actually getting more solid but are just as frequent (3-5x/day) though not as urgent.
Am sad because every time I eat a salad, that's when it's at its worst: urgent and loose. Staying low fiber is hard because I want to try to be healthy. I'm trying to get his office to set me up I with a nutritionist, too.
Anyone else had a capsule endoscopy? The prep seems worse than the scope to me because I have to stop even water at 10pm the night before until 2 hours after I swallow the capsule - that's a full 12 hours without fluids and the thought of it almost dehydrates me!
Just checking in. Been busy with work & sort of promotion (but the most exciting part is the almost private bathroom on my floor! Only two stalls and a handful of us sharing it) then school started so it's been busy. Fighting fatigue quite a bit though it comes and goes in waves.
