Saturday i went out to eat with a friend. I really overate and had a salad which is a no no for me. Plus a mixed drink. I was sooo bloated like i looked 6 months prego. Since then ive been really having to poop but didnt feel like it was all coming out so i took some miralax. That just made watery poo go around what is stuck. Im still having issues. Only 1 inch skinny mucussy pieces come out. And im still bloated. Now when i got up monday ive been having lower left belly pain and lower back pain. It hurts when im laying sitting or standing. Ive had a few big ovarian cysts recently so at first i thought it might be that. But the lower back pain ive never had before. Im still bloated too. At my last colonoscopy about a month ago it showed diverticulosis in sigmoid decending and transverse colon. Especially in the sigmoid. Ive also been having lots of sweats but no chills or fever. I have my last appt with my "crappy" gi dr on wednesday. I see the new gi dr on january 17th. Do you guys think it will be ok to wait til then? Im having trouble sleeping due to the lower back pain. Can crohns cause your lower back to hurt.

Sorry that you're suffering. Waiting till January will be too long. Why don't you bring it to your GI's attention on Wednesday as long as you have an appointment? Yes, Crohn's causes back pain. IMO, the food irritated your sigmoid colon. You should see or consult your doctor.

i do have appt with current gi tomorrow. I sure hope she dont blow me off like usual. Im just concerned about diverticulitis. My pain is no worse but no better. I hope for some answers tomorrow

Im soooooooo glad im getting a new gi dr at Duke hosp. I really hate the gi i just saw. Im like in pain like major pain in lower abdomin and lower back. The dr said since the colonoscopy seemed normal that my pain is just IBS. Well ive had ibs pain before but not in the areas that hurt now and def not this bad. Anyhow the dr just increased my cymbalta and gave me seriquel. However it might take a couple of weeks to start working. So what do i do for pain in the meantime. I hurt so bad that i cant even function today. I guess when something major happens and it becomes lifethreatening then someone will take me seriously.

Wow, sorry you're going through this. I have definitely been in that position before. Is there anyway you could go to the ER of the hospital the new doctor is related to and tell them how bad you are? They should be able to get you seen faster which sounds like what you need.

Now this morning im nauseous and have very watery poo. And of course still have pain. My only option is to go to duke er. I know its more than just ibs. Or should i just wait til im pooping blood or have high fever or nonstop vomiting to go there. Im tired of being blown off. Maybe there is nothing wrong and im frabricating stuff. I dont know. I just know im in pain and have nothing to take for the pain except tylenol. Sorry im venting so much. I hope you all are doing well😀

I really think you should go to the Duke ER and tell them that you desperately need someone to sort this out that you have an appointment in January but that you need someone's help right now. I doubt you are fabricating stuff. I always think that about myself but its rarely the case that it's nothing. I remind myself that i thought the PE i had was stress and the same with my last obstruction and Crohns in general. if you don't feel right you need another opinion. My last scope and MRE came back that there was no crohns active but i was still getting weird pain when i wake up like i get with a flare. my doctor was ready to say maybe its just iBS because everything else was ruled out but I can say that after my last remicade dose it miraculously completely went away for a week and a half after having it constantly for several months so theres no way in my mind that it wasn't some type of hidden inflammation.

i went to pick up my prescriptions only to find out there was a problem with my medicaid. So i went to the medicaid office. Only to find out my medicaid was up for review oct 1st and for some odd reason i only qualify for family planning medicaid. Ive had medicaid for 1 1/2 years with the same income and now they tell me i dont qualify for it. Well my husbands insurance was renewed and submitted yesterday. I was not put on his insurance since i have medicaid. Now i dont have medicaid and cant be put on his insurance for a year. Now i cant get any medical help with no insurance and i cant get my meds to help keep me from getting sicker. Like i really need more stress added to my life. Any suggestions on what i should do now?

Well im now in the er. I hurt sooo bad. I hope to get some answers. One thing that concerns me is my blood pressure. It was 112/97. Ive never had the bottom number that high.

Well incase anyone was concerned i just wanted to let u know the dr said i got a bad crohns flare. I was put on 50mg of pred for 5 days with no taper. And pain meds. He told me to followup with gi and now with no insurance i guess i cant do that.

Oh no! Bucko, I'm so sorry! can't they keep you in the hospital and treat it with IV steroids to get it down quicker? which ER was it? did you make it to Duke? last time I had a situation where i went to the er with severe pain they said it was a flare and sent me home to follow up with GI. I did but he wanted me to wait a week "to see if it would go away" and follow up then but I got worse and ended up back in the er before the follow-up. the second time around they admitted me. granted i couldn't keep any food or water down and was nearly blacking out from pain. You may have to go back again and explain your situation. Dear goodness, I wish i had more ideas. what tests did they do? this is obviously totally counter what your old GI said so how could they expect you to go back to him?

i guess since i dont have insurance they didnt keep me. I wasnt able to make it to duke hosp due to lack of gas (30 miles away). I went to our local hosp. I figured it was better than nothing. They did a lot of blood work and ct scan. At least its not diverticulitis. Not sure why the dr wanted to put me on antibiotics. I just didnt want to take the risk of getting cdiff. However if i did get cdiff i would have to be admitted cas i can only take iv flagyl not the pill.
