FOR MODERATORS: I RECEIVED PERMISSION FROM PETER WAITE TO POST THIS RESEARCH ON ARPIL 4TH, VIA EMAILDo you fear what others think about
your Crohn's Disease and its symptoms?
If so… you are not alone!
Research has found that a number of people with Crohn's Disease fear telling others about
their disease or fear their reactions.
If you are interested in sharing your perspectives on the general public’s views of Crohn's Disease, then you are welcome to participate in a new and interesting study!
All you have to do is complete a short, anonymous online questionnaire. It will take about
20-30 minutes and you can enter a prize draw to win one of three $30 Amazon eGift Cards to thank you for your participation.
You will also be given the opportunity to complete an individual interview at a later date (either online - using an audio or video Skype chat, over the telephone, or in person). Please note that this is entirely voluntary. It will take no more than 40 minutes to complete the interview and you will receive a $25 Amazon eGift Card to thank you for your participation (refreshments will also be provided at in person interviews). Additionally, sharing your story can be healing, empowering and therapeutic.
Note that you must be aged 18 to 60 (inclusive), with an IBD diagnosis (Crohn's Disease/Ulcerative Colitis) to participate. Males and females are invited to participate, with a special encouragement to those who experience concerns or worries in relation to their disease.
