Hi everyone,
I just started Uceris yesterday at 9mg after finally being diagnosed with CD in the hospital after a colonoscopy. They found ulcers and inflammation in my terminal ileum. Have any of you tried Uceris? If so, did it work? Were there any bad side effects? I'm feeling tired and a little dizzy right now, not sure if this is related to the medicine at all. Any input is appreciated!

Uceris, or budesonide, is a steroid that stays mostly in the gut. Therefore, it's preferred for IBD compared to prednisone because it has fewer system-wide side effects; prednisone is extremely damaging to the body. That having been said, some people don't tolerate budesonide very well. However, I'd say that feeling tired and dizzy is most likely due to having been in the hospital and being in a Crohn's flare.

Ok that's good to know! Thank you scifigal2k. Hopefully I will tolerate the meds well and you are right about
feeling like this form being in the hospital and in a flare.

You're welcome!
Obviously, if it becomes worse or intolerable or something, then call your doctor.
