I've had a really rough time in the last year trying to get a consistent regular exercise regimen going - which I know is essential with Crohns - because every time I try to begin something new, I end up with severe DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness).
I'm not terribly out of shape, do water aerobics twice a week, work and have a little homestead (grow my own food, take care of chickens, garden a lot) none of which bothers me, but when I try anything else - step work outs, zumba, yoga or weight bearing exercises, etc - within two days I'm almost unable to move at all. It's excruciating. The first day is normal muscle soreness, but by the second I can barely make it out of bed. And trust me, I take it REALLY easy when I'm trying something new. And this is coming from someone who had natural childbirth! At this point, I'm totally discouraged and wondered if this might be associated with the Crohns or something entirely different I need to bring up to the docs. :-(
Any thoughts, feedback would be appreciated.
