Well my gi ordered this scan to see why im still having lower right abdominal pain. Well this barium drink is so nasty. So far ive only drank 1 bottle and i got 2 more to go. Ugh. I seriously dont think i can get it all down. I sure hope they find the reason for my pain. Every time i eat or drink i have pain.

UGH I hate that stuff. The only way I can get it down is with a straw and if the drink is cold. Even then I only manage 2 most times.

I hope something shows up on your scan just so you get some answers.

Is that the stuff in a green bottle?

I think they gave me something like that with either my CT or MRI.....but I was so sick by then I didn't know what I was doing and I can't really remember it now...except for stuff in a green bottle that made me want to hurl.....and I had to drink three of the little suckers......

It even messes up the other end coming out...talk about urgency.

Hope you are doing better than I did....

Clo...yep same nasty stuff. Yeah i had major urgency and explosion

Lamb61...i sure hope they figure out whats going on with me.im so tired of feeling sick, in pain, and run down.

Well once again they saw nothing wrong with my intestines. I guess i just has pain for no reason or cause. I suppose ill just deal with it. The gi physician assistant i last saw told me to just stop taking methotrexate since i do not have crohns. However the ct did state that there was some thickening of my esophagus and i have a small hiatal hernia. Also i have a nodule in lower left lung. I also have an ovarian cyst of 1.6cm. Now for my hips i have a disease (cant remember what its called) caused by inflammation. Oh and i now have a tonsil stone. Im so confused do i or do i not have CROHNS.

Bucko, I have been reading some of your posts, what a turn of events you have going on. The thickening on the Ct & hiatal hernia are common with GERD. Not saying that is your dx by any means, Iknow that this is common with GERD. When do you see the dr again? You need a face to face with the dr to get all of this sorted out. Do you have bursitis in your hip?

Straydog...i dont see my dr til jan 5th. Yes i have bursitis in both hips and left knee. I have fluid on both elbows, having ultrasound on elbows in sept. I also have fibromyalgia and out of cymbalta so that pain has flared up as well. As far as gerd goes i just had an endoscopy done in april and there was no signs of gerd or inflammation or thickening. Im just falling apart. I cant even remember things anymore. Sorry for all the complaining.

Bucko, I am so sorry you are going through this! Please tell me that January 5th is a typo?! I can't believe they would make you wait that long to have a sit down discussion with the Doc. Is this the one from Duke? Any way to get in sooner and we're you able to get any documents from your original diagnosis? I can't remember, were you looking for / did you find a new primary care Doc?

Yes, me too, I hope this was a typo on the appt date. I would call & ask for an appt a whole lot sooner than that. If they say no, may want to consider consulting with another gi. I would start obtaining copies of all of my prior testing along with current records.

No typo. Seriously january 5 2018. This dr is the only crohns dr at a duke clinic. Ill check the hosp location but i think that dr now only sees pediatric crohns. Also i now have to drive to raleigh ,hour drive, to see my gi dr

Geez Bucko, you've been through the wringer. I just want you to know you're not alone and we're here to lean on.

I would be the patient from he** and keep on them until you get an appointment sooner or at least a one on one phone call with the doctor. I'm pretty sure that's my secret patient name at my GI's office now...I wouldn't let up until I actually saw him. And now it's clear my pain was IBS aggravating scar tissue. Bentyl has helped alot.

Bucko, you mentioned a nodule being seen on a lung. Any explanation about that? If the answer is no, please get to your PCP & discuss this. Its probably nothing, but it still needs to be addressed.
