Hello all. New to the forum. Just wondering if anyone has any occurrences of hepatosplenomegaly after crohns diagnosis? I'll give you a little background of my history: 32 y/o, diagnosed with crohns disease in April 2016. I initially went to er with abdominal pain, fever, and tachycardia. CT showed intestinal abscess and thickening of terminal ileum. Treated with IV zosyn, flagyl, and cipro and sent home 5 days later. A week later symptoms returned and I was directly admitted by the surgeon. Had a terminal iliectomy with right partial hemicolectomy and went home a couple weeks later. Since then I have had an adhesiolysis in Nov 2016. I have been on humira biweekly, iron 3x a day due to severe anemia, vitamin c, questran, and most recently levsin for the last couple weeks for pain. My gi doc ordered an abdominal ultrasound last week that showed the hepatosplenomegaly. Yesterday I did some LFT'S which were normal except a slightly elevated ALT (46). I also show3d some fatty deposits on the liver. So probably fatty liver disease. I'm just curious if this is related to a flare or if anyone else has experienced this with there crohns. I have scopes scheduled in a couple weeks. Most recent fecal calprotectin showed inflammation as well.
