Nervous stomach

Hi,
I am new to this website, but not new to being a crohn’s sufferer.
I have had it since I was 17,currently I am 53. I have had two
small bowel resections and 5 weeks ago had a total colectomy. For the past few
days I have been suffering from what can best be described as butterflies in my stomach.
It is a contant nervous feeling in my stomach. I am wondering if anyone else has
had this problem? I am currently on remicade- have been for 12 years.

Wow, that's a long time with Crohn's and even Remicade! I've been on it for almost 6 years. I don't really get that feeling, but it sounds kind of like anxiety. When was your last infusion? Also, have you asked over on the ostomy forum? Maybe gas bubbles coming to the surface or something?

Sometimes I get that anxious feeling like butterflies when I know I'm not anxious. It is often followed by diarrhea. But it could be anxiety too. Lord knows we all have plenty to be anxious about!
