OG, I was on Remicade & my gi increased the dose. My gut symptoms were persistent, once the dose was increased things settled down for me. Some gi's will put patients on Celebrex as it does not mess with the stomach.

You asked why do an MRI, your knee should be checked to make sure there isn't something else going on. A small tear of the meniscus can cause the symptoms you are describing as an example. Sure the injections in the knees help, but it returns.

Hmm, interesting that Celebrex is used since it's an NSAID. I thought those were contraindicated in Crohn's since it can cause a flare, but you said it doesn't? My Rheumatologist never mentioned it, but she also has mentioned staying away from NSAIDS for that reason. Remicade worked really well to keep all my extra-intestinal symptoms in control and originally worked for my gut for a couple months but even after upping the dose and shortening times between infusions, it didn't help I'm glad it's working for you.

OK, yes, I understand that other things could be going on which would warrant an MRI, but I have inflammation in my knee, foot and eye, so it's definitely a body-wide inflammatory response from Crohn's. If it were just one thing like my knee, I would press for an MRI, but this is how my flares are.
