Best rectal ointment I’ve found yet!

I just found the best rectal ointment for pain and relief after 13 years from my colorectal surgeon after a recent abscess surgery - Calmoseptine! And it’s over the counter! I guess it can be used for a lot of things but it has menthol so it’s cooling and numbing. I used to use a prescription lidocaine 3% until my insurance stopped paying for it and it was $160 for a tube! Then last year I found OTC Preparation H w 5% lidocaine, basically the same as the RX but with more lidocaine and about $30 but it still only just worked ok. The Calmoseptine is really helping me this week and I never would have found it if the dr hadn’t offered some! Word of mouth imho is the best way to find what works that you may otherwise not come across so hopefully this helps someone else too.

So glad you discovered Calmoseptine. I think it's the best thing since sliced bread, lol. It is the only thing that I have found that helps with butt burn!

I am still laughing at what NCOT said about not using the lip balm afterwards. I have a friend that is a pharmacist & let me tell you, he has shared some stories that are hilarious.
