It's possible you could have overflow diarrhoea, which is when liquid stool seeps past the impacted stool. I dunno about Linzess - had to google it. It claims it's not a laxative and that it helps to calm pain-sensing nerves. Well it's obviously not calming your pain. I wonder if it's worth stopping it and trying a more traditional laxative or stool softener, like 73monte suggested. Stool softeners are more gentle and less prone to making your bowel 'lazy' with long term use, but on the other hand stimulant laxatives are fine for short term use.
As for the cause of the pain, severe constipation can cause bad pain. As can distension of the bowel due to e.g. gas, blockage. It's probably not the ulcers. The intestines don't have pain receptors and thus you can cut, scratch them etc without feeling any pain (I actually know this from personal experience of having a stoma). But the one thing intestines are sensitive to, and can detect pain for, is being stretched - they don't like that.
