Happy birthday, Ides! I was thinking about it earlier this week, but then in the chaos of COVID-19 cancelling everything in my life (all the kids' homeschool activities), I completely lost track of what day it was.

I hope in spite of all the upheaval and turmoil, you had a wonderful day full of love.

Randy, I'm impressed with your memory. I think you have remembered for something like 15 years. I was a sweet young thing then - now I'm a cranky 70 year old! And no celebrations. My kids all work with the public and they are scared they will pass on the virus and kill me. Once we come out from this, I'm having a heck of a party! Hope you are doing well...

NiceCupOfTea - We, meaning family and friends, are hoping we can do a 70 and a 1/2 party. I am in significantly impacted area here in the US and there is no telling how long this will go on. Given my high risk status, I am self-isolating here at home. Please take care of yourself in this uncertain time.

Hope you get to have the 70 and a half birthday party! Hopefully this won't go on for longer than a few months...

And self-isolating is definitely a very, very good idea. I wish my mum would do the same, although she is otherwise healthy for her age (which is 80).
