I'm a UC patient, but during a flare I usually take both a mesalazine (mesalamine) suppository and enema, at different times of day. I've also in the past used a suppository to plug the liquid enema but the risk there is if I can't retain it I lose both!
I usually take a Pentasa suppository (I find the Salofalk ones a bit greasy and messy) and Salofalk liquid enema. I've taken Asacol foam enemas in the past, and recently tried Salofalk foam enemas during my current flare but it was stinging badly so I went back to the more soothing liquid.
