Dr Present is brilliant. No question. The office can be frustrating as they are VERY busy and it can be hard to get to the doctor. He is the oldest in the practice and travels and speaks alot. He has an associate Dr Steinlauf who is wonderful for filling in. I am relatively happy there although I can get frustrated. I had a doctor in LA that if I called, he spoke to me. That rarely happens in this practice. but they do major research and are on the cutting edge of the disease.
I just went on Remicade as nothing has worked in the flare-up -- the worst one of my life. I have done two treatments and I am confident this is the right choice -- a tough one though. I was on 6 MP for 20 years and was basically in remission druing that time -- some small flares, but nothing terrible. This one was beyond bad. Hospital 2 times in 6 weeks and no food for about 2 1/2 months. I don't have weight to lose and lsot 20 pounds and look awful.
This will help though. I am actually going on vacation tomorrow and feel like it will be a good thing.
Good luck.
