Vomitting blood for the first time and worried?

  Hey guys, I think I said this last time but I am sorry that I have not been around lately. I have had one sick summer. I have a tendency to shut down completely when really sick. 

  So to start everything was going real well till July. I had nemonia [left lung infection if my sp was way off] Took like for ever to get over. I still don't think it's over. I am now having major problems with the crohns. The hospital took me off the immuran and pumped me full of IV antibiotics and pain meds. I have not been right since. I'm of course back on the immuran but it doesn't seem to want to work.

  I am now vomitting up blood nearly everyday. Mostly at night which I think is odd. That's the only real new thing. The rest is pretty much what I experienced with crohn's before. I feel absolutely sick.

  I am having a colonoscopy and endosope tomorrow.  And after my last one done right before my surgery was so terrible I'm a little worried.  My GI thinks he knows what happened and has promised that he'll do a repeat of the first one. If it goes like that I'll not have a problem.

  But why would I be vomitting most likely? That's probablely a loaded question. I guess I am asking what are the most common causes? GI says he is not so sure the crohns is back but maybe an infection of some sort caused by the antibiotics. If I understood him correctly??

   The other thing is that I have lost a lot of weight again. Try being a 34D on a 102 lb framed body. I have never been so of balance in my life.

Hi RJ I noticed you mentioned you had pneumonia I remember when I was a teen long before myCD I had it with pluersy and I had vomitted blood I would get to Emerg. unless your Dr. is sure you are vomitting from CD. Don't mean to worry you but just in case it is your lungs. lol gail

So I did spell it wrong but not to bad. Pnemonia was a monster I'd like not to see again. that's for sure!

The vomitting of blood is new to me. When I had the pnemonia I coughed up blood not vomit it. My GI has me doing the colonoscpoy today 1:00 p.m. my time. [and endo]

I have major colon spasams that makes me move stuff out from both ends. The vomitting is very forced. That started last week. I had no actual nausea with it. Now I do. When this happen my fever will shoot up as high as 102. Then the pain and spasam and fever will just simply go away as fast as it comes after the vomitting. Sometimes takes 15 minutes altogether from finish to end. Sometimes 1 an hour. Almost like a pimple being popped inside. I don't know if that is an actual discription of the events?

The other wierd thing my skin seems reddish.. ?

I have some blood in my stool now as well but that didn't start till after I drank the barium[sp] for a CT on friday. I have felt particularlly bad after drinking that stuff. I'm just so tired right now.

You could have a C-Diff infection because of the antibiotics.  If you aren't yet, I would start taking some probiotics, that at least will put some good bacteria back into your intestines.  The vomiting blood I don't have an answer for, but you should get some kind of answer on that after your scopes.  Good Luck!
