and ive been doing so well :( im so upset

so i have been doin ok they upped my remicade to 10mg/kg and ive been on prednisone (yuck), i still have dirreah all the time but i sometimes only go like once or twice a day! good right?!

well yesterday i had a BOWLFUL of blood and blood clots and same thing again today. i do have a fissure and hemmies but they have never bled like that only a little on the tp. so i dont think its those. plus my tummy just doesnt feel right.

so now i have to go for a colonoscopy :(:(:(. i hate those so darn much. i have the miralax and ducolax prep which isnt as bad as the fleet, i cant even swalloe that but i have problems drinking things and its probably a mental block but i just have such a problem doing it. plus the last time i had one i WOKE UP and they kept on doing it. im going to tell them flat out that it cant happen again that im scared it will but i just dont trust them to keep me in la la land after last time.

im just upset right now, any support would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure when you go in for your scope, before they do anything, let them know about your last experience and how much fear your are feeling. I had to do the same thing last time I had a scope because I was so traumatized by the scope I was awake with. They used pediatric equipment on me and made sure I was adequately sedated and everything went well. Good Luck!

thank you guys, i know i might be being a baby about this but for some reason the whole process of a colonoscopy is traumatizing for me. even the drinking part. of all the things we go thru, and ive been thru a little thing like this seems so dumb to be worried about but i cant help it. but thank you so much for your replies, it makes me feel better

I'm so sorry. When I had my last colonoscopy I cried like a little baby because I had to drink all that stuff and I was so scared that I was going to be able to feel something. Lucky for me, everything went okay but the drinking stuff is absolutely horrible. Good luck and I hope everything turns out well!

I have alot of problems with drinking things, too and when I had to have my colonoscopy I had to try two times before I could get it all down. Now, I need to go for another one in a month, and I'm gearing up to have a big talk with the doctor about the swallowing. To people who don't have the issue or haven't done it before, it could be hard to understand, but everyone here seems to really get it.

I don't think it's silly to be "complaining" at all. You've got alot on your plate! Good luck to you.

Hi Hope your bleeding has stopped by now .I never had that happen but I would be in need of support too .When I came out of the hos. in Jan I had to have the prep about 4 times in three months but it was the running to the bathroom half the night that I found tiring. I guess everyone sees things different when we get that done.Hoping someone is there with you if you are worried. Best Wishes and hope things get better soon. lol gail

i cldnt get all the kleen prep drink dwn the laxos were ok but the otha stuf mde me puke/cry,they dnt really try 2 mke that stuff tste nice,i was so scared bout my colonoscopy,but it went smoothly,i even watch them tke the biopsys.

well im still bleeding every time i go and my frequency has gone up so something is goin on. i do hope it ends up being a fissure or a hemmie becasue after the recmicade and the pred i shouldnt have any problems further up. but i guess ill know monday, at least i dont have to wait and think about it forever, that helps.
