i keep having accidents!

i had a colonoscopy on monday and since then i keep having accidents. i dont even know its comeing all of a sudden, BAM now im dirty. WHEN will this stop. is it casue the prep is still in my system and i was haveing MAJOR D beforehand?

i just wanna cry about it. i want to work today wearing sanitary pads and carrying them and babywipes scared that any moment ill go in my freakin pants.

im sorry im in such a bad mood right now and this just doesnt help. i wanted to complain to people who understand. anyone wanna give me a virtual hug?

I totally understand! I have accidents all the time. Especially when I have been sleeping and am groggy and out of it. It sucks but all you can do is clean up and keep on going! :) Hang in there!

I am so sorry. I too had accidents before and after while doing the prep for a barium enema. The test was 45 minutes away and I barely made it back and went some in my pants on the way home. In the middle of the night, I also had to change clothes, could'nt hold anything. People without this disease just don't understand. You are a trooper to go to work. You should be very proud of your efforts and are a strong individual....

Hi Bunny, Big Hugs, After your colonoscopy did you drink plenty of water to clean your system out
of the prep. My Gi told me to always flush system after colonoscopy.

I go through having accidents often.  I have uncontrollable diahhrea.  Most of my accidents happen during the night when I'm sleep.  But also, when I'm in public sometimes, without warning, I feel the urge to have to go immediately.  I wear 2 pads 24/7.  If I have to leave home, I also keep towels in my car just in case.  I take Lonox when I'm leaving home, and I don't eat if I know I have to go out, hoping that will reduce my chances of an accident.  Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.  That's part of this horrific disease.  I wish they could find a cure soon.

I as well have alot of accidents my self in fact the first year of being diagnosed with crohns I had to wear depends because I could not controll my bowel mevments.So I would would them so at least it did not run down my leggs.I hated wearing them but I had no choice.So please know you are not alone and yes the prep has all way's and still does that to me as well.

Hey BP a big hug from me too...I had my scope yesterday and am going through the uh-oh better run today at work. I am going back to carrying a gym bag with a change of clothes, a sealable plastic bag and two hand towels again---this always was my emergency kit in the car in case I had to clean up. You would be amazed that hardly anyone notices you changed clothes :-)

ps...you live in the same town as my best friend! I used to live north of Buffalo and miss a lot of things out there. Drop me a note if you ever want some more local support!

to everyone.... thank you thank you thank you a million times over. just to have anyone understand what its like to be a grown woman (or man :) ) and have accidents makes me feel better. thank you for all the support and the tips. for now im carrying babywipes pads and undies and i think im covered. the bubbling has stopped some so i hope the worst is over but ill be daned if im not gonna be prepared.

bp... I live in Rochester area now, but I grew up in the Tonawandas. My best friend lives in the Depew area. She is one of my few friends that I can go to when this DD is getting nasty. I almost went to her house Sunday...I had an accident after the Bills game and you can't change clothes in a porta potty. I ended up changing in the car because traffic was so bad it would have been a while to get to her house. Tossed the panties in the trash when no one was looking!

CD can be a b**ch. at least the accidents for me have settled down finally, just little emergencies. but im still cleaned out from the scope so i suspect as i eat theyll come back. oh well.

i lived in rochester for awhile habs, in pittsford then in the city. whereabouts are you? im sorry you had the accident at the bills game but good for you that you were able to keep on goin :)  (not GOING, but you know)
