I need some natural low-impact solution to moving my digestion along a bit. I'm currently technically in a flare, on pred and 6MP and Asacol, but my only symptom is abdominal soreness and a bit of distention and occasional pain. My BM's are normal and daily - problem is I don't think I'm "outputting" quite the volume of what I'm "inputting" - as a result the symptoms intensify as things back up until I do liquids for a few days and everything catches up, then I'm back at the beginning of the cycle with minimal symptoms.
I keep wondering about
stricture/obstruction but it doesn't seem to fit - I have bowel sounds, BM's aren't pencil thin, I don't seem to have nausea unless I don't drink enough water that day, and the pain is no where near what I'm reading people experience.
I was wondering if there are some natural things I can eat that can speed things up a bit. I don't seem to have any issues with eating anything, that is, nothing I eat seems to cause any more pain than anything else.
