How do you know if Remicade is Working?

I am on my 3rd infusion, and I started having upper right quadrant pain again.  The usual pain I have with crohns.  It had gone away for the first 2 infusions.  How does someone know if Remicade is working or not?  I have been feeling better overall except for the side pain.

I just started too, and it seems to be working. I've only had one dose, and I still have some of the same symptons I went in with. This stuff apparantely wears off, so it may be that you're ready for another dose. If you're concerned you should give your doctor a buzz.

I felt the pain before my dose last week, so I thought that too, that it was wearing off.  But I have pain after my dose so that's not it.  It's weird ever since I started the Remicade, my doctor does not schedule appointments anymore.  I usually see him for a few minutes during the infusion.  I guess I'll just wait till the end of Nov, at my  next infusion and ask then.

I was on it for 3 1/2 yrs and most people do not get immediate relief. I began noticing some improvement after the 3rd infusion. I had Remicade every 4 weeks, it must be tailored to your needs. Not everyone can go 8 wks in between infusions. You will be able to tell a real difference, but if you see symptoms returning before the 8 wks make your dr aware of it. It really is a drug that reacts w/different people. Also, Remicade does not stay in the system as long as they thought it did. Keep a log of dates of infusions and how long you were doing good before things went bad again. Susie

Well I won't be able to tell at all, I had pain the week before, the day of and every day after my 3rd infusion? How on earth will I be able to tell now?  I guess this pain is just part of my crohn's and I better get used to it, I don't think it's going anywhere.  I have had it on and off for over a year now.
