Accupuncture???

 

     Hey all

       Has anyone ever tried accupuncture ?  I've heard a lot of positive things about it.  I'm trying it next week.

I've done accupunture for my joint pain. My GI's won't go on to any of the biologics but my joints are bad from the CD. My Rhuemy can't give me any of the regular joint meds cause they eat up my stomach so he suggested I try accupuncture. I won't say its been wonderfull, but it has helped. I've been doing it since about March. I started going 2X a week then 1X a week down to about once a month now. I've reached some stability at this point, but the true test will be in the coming months. Winter is always the worst time for me. My insurance won't pay for it and it is pretty costly, so it might work better if I were willing to go more often/pay more, but there is only so much money in the budget

I was a bit of a skeptic, but when he put a needle in a spot that corelates to the intestines and then moved the needle, my intestines started raising a rukus. I had to admit, there must be something to it.

Good Luck. It might offer you some relief and unlike a lot of the meds we try, it won't do you any harm, except in the wallet!

I think it helps. I had to cut it down due to the expense, but plan on starting again soon. It certainly does no harm.
