How many of you with crohn's confined to the TI also have extra-intestinal issues like arthritis?

My crohn's is only in the small intestine and I now have a form of spondyloarthritis. I am having reoccuring tendinitis in my hands and feet. I have very painful bone spurs forming where the tendin is pulling on the bone. I need surgery on one of the spurs but I don't have a job or insurance right now so I'm just suffering with it.

CD in the TI only. Spondyloarthropathy and enthesopathy. I also have inflammatory erosive osteoarthritis. The extraintestinal manifestations I have or have had of CD which my docs have directly linked are 1) avascular necrosis of both femoral heads, 2) small fiber peripheral neuropathy in both feet and up left leg; 3) spondyloarthropathy; 4) iritis, 5) multiple kidney stones, 6) asthma and bronchitis

Thanks for responding. I have had joint issues for years, but early on tests didn't show any deterioration in the joint, and my doc said it probably wasn't related to CD because mine is confined to the TI, so I have always just lived with it.
I am gradually growing convinced of the connection though. I ache all the time and there's always at least one joint that is too painful to bear weight etc.

Hi and yes i have Arthritis too, in my knee and shoulder it seems to be a common thing in people with Crohns. When i get my Remicade Infusion, I talk to quite a few people with Crohns and i always here the same thing, they have Arthritis. It seems like there's always something else goes with this awful disease.

I've been Dx with Spondyloarthropathy and Enthesopathy too. My joint problems have almost always been worse than my gut and there is now some question as to whether my gut problems are actually caused by Crohn's or by the Spondylitis. Although all of the Docs agree that I do have a gut problem, they tell me that it's not significant enough to call CD.
