meds. before colonoscopy

I take my meds with a small sip of water. I never took Pred with food. Some meds shouldn't be taken though, check with your GI.

Well, first off, double check the directions from your doctor. They usually give you some instructions on how to prepare for a procedure and whether or not you can have anything by mouth. It has been so long since I had one I don't rightly remember. On a personal note, I can never take Flagyl or Pred without food, else I will vomit. They are very hard on the stomach. If your instructions from the doctor don't say anything about meds and you still have time, call the dr's office and ask to be sure. If all else fails, I would skip them, but I'm no M.D. so that is just my opinion.
