I have been waiting TWO weeks for the approval for my Humira to go through.. in which has been faxed and called in about a million times to MedCo and EVERY time I call these morons they have nothing... nothing on file. I don't get it.
I turst my nurse and doctor. I know that they are doing it right and sending the info every time I ask. Two weeks.. seriously?
I called and started to yell at the poor girl who got my call today.. I'm at my wits end over this.

How long does it take for these medication request to be processed normally?? Months? Does any one know?
Am I being too pushy?

If you are dealing with Medco, your Humira will probably be handled by Accredo their specialty pharm division (I used to work for them). I had an awful time getting my husband's hyperparathyroid scripts strarted through them. I'd call the Medco number back and ask who is handling them or Accredo. If it is Accredo, ask for a number. And stay ON them! Oh, find out what number your doc faxed and when exactly -- tell that info to who you talk to.

Hi my job we had Medco and they got rid of them. We now use Caremark it is alot better then Medco.
I have no problems when I call Caremark for my drugs they arrive.

It is Acredo that I talk to every time.. I just kind of sum everything up in to one and call it MedCo.
I have verified all the numbers that they have been calling and faxing.. everything is right. They're just idiots.. haha

How long should it take to get a prescription through their mail order pharmacy.. the is honestly effecting my day to day life now. I NEED this medication and they don't see to understand the urgency of my situation.

It took 3 weeks for me thru caremark, but was not their fault. My arthritis dr's assistant told me erroniously to set up an account thru medco, which I called and did. After not hearing back for 10 days I called the office back and I found out that she was supposed to give me caremark's #, which is on my insurance card. It took about 10 days for caremark to get me the humira. Meanwhile I had to go back on pred my joints were hurting so bad.
