now what the heck ...HIVES?!

grrrr. i have some weird hive looking thing on my belly (it was really a small red irritation last week but now it's a bumb and all red around it) that i noticed but thought my cat got me when we was playin with my pajama string :p well today i itched my back and it hurt so i take a look and found 2 more on my back! one bigger and one small than the one of my belly! anyone experience this with prednisone? i have fairly clear skin and they don't look like acne or zits or something. i don't have many allergic reactions to things, heck i don't even get poison ivy. so yeah! what the heck now?!

stephanie...I get lots of weird skin reactions. Could be viral, could be allergy. i recommend getting in to your doc and maybe a dermatologist. Mostly because I would love to hear what answers you get! I had hive like bumps that were attributed to three different viral diseases so far and no one had a real answer...however steroids got rid of them once.
Oh and the if the itching is real bad before you can get into a doc, try one Clariten D plus one Pepcid (both over the counter). They are antihistamine A &B types and should help reduce the itching.
