crazy, wild Crohn's dream!

Ok, you gotta hear this one. I was struggling with insomnia, and on this forum till about 1:00AM. When I finally fell asleep I had this crazy dream. I dreamt that I was stuck in one of those garden mazes of hedges. I'm sure there's a name for those, but I don't know what it is called...like the kid who was running through in The Shining, remember?
Anyway, I was running as fast as I could, desperately trying to find a way out. All of you were there with me...Gachrons, Krysta, crazy harry, Sarita...all of you regulars! People were sitting at informational booths that said things like, "Remicade, Imuran, Probiotics, Makers Diet, Prednisone, etc. I finally stopped running and everyone came over to me, and I said, "You don't understand, I was once healthy and free..how did I get stuck in this crazy maze? If I got in here, then why can't I find the way OUT of here??? Gachrons gave me a hug (thanks for that!) and said, "You have to accept it, there is no way out, but we're all here." I started running away again, bumping into walls along the way, saying I just want to go home....and then I woke up!

So what do you think? Am I going completely insane???? Here's to hoping for a CURE, and I wish you that happiest possible Thanksgiving. I for one am thankful for all of your lifesaving support. Much love, GUMBY

I agree, it sounds like a whacky one (but that's what makes most dreams fun) and it did speak volumes to you...hqaving crohns, being a life-long illness is just like being stuck in a maze but you are not alone in the maze and that at least is the comforting part (especially since you did get a nice hug).

I love sleeping for the main reason of dreaming...for the most part in my dreams I have wonderful and exciting adventures and even if they are sometimes related to CD (like public stall dreams which I have more than I care to) it's still funner being asleep and dreaming then awake and in reality.

Hi Gumby Glad you got that hug. I know at night when I go to bed, sometimes I think of people I met here and it really makes me feel not alone anymore. I know we are all living on meds and thank goodness we have others to help us threw all of this. Being here with you all has been my home where there is lots of caring and understanding. I guess I am healthy now just in a different way then what I used to be we all are. Not sure what the definition of health is. Glad you made it threw your dream and you can count on those hugs when you need them .lol gail
