Well, I had my first flare up since starting Humira. It was very different symptoms then what I had the first couple flares, so when I went to the hospital after non-stop regurgitation, they deemed it "The Bug", gave me some nausea meds and sent me on my way. Two weeks later, I'm back in, same symptoms, again, just the bug, more meds, off to Texas for thanksgiving! My mom picked me up from the airport, and once we got to the parking lot, the puke-a-thon started again. Back to the emergency room we go, and I find out after a CT scan, I now have CD in my lower small intestine. Good news: it wasn'ts my CD in the illium, (actually, that looks like it's getting better!) so surgery is not needed right now. Bad news, I'm back on Prednisone and some new pills to go along with my Humira. oh....so many pills.....
So anyways, what I have learned: Puking non stop = warning, gurgling sounds in the intestines = warning, pain anywhere from just below the belly button to the sternum in a 4 inch radius = warning. X-rays do not give as much info as CT scans. If you know you're going to puke, wether something is there or not, by all means, have some ice chips!!
Hope everyone had a happy turkey day :) A Low Residue, low fiber, turkey day! :D
