Food question

YUMMMMMMY...love them both, sometimes it's the rich butter you dip it in that people have issues with, especially if they are lactose intolerant and don't realize it (it happend to me as lactose intolerance is easily masked by CD). I tolerate all seafood (and otherwise) just fine, I'm lucky I don't have any no no foods, but then again I do eat healthy, nothing processed, no fast-foods, ect as these are known to exacerbate IBD symptoms.

You could also take some digestive enzymes after each meal daily, many IBDers do this as it helps break food down for you...I eat natural digestive enzymes (papaya, kiwi, pineapple) after meals myself, but some go for the tabs.

I love them as well,I am like PB4 and Nanners watchy the butter,I have found as long as I leave the butter alone I am fine.

oh i am so jealous! i tolerate both lobster and crab fine. and actually, i don't use butter on my lobster, snow crab or alaskan king crab. lobster is a lot like alaskan king crab. man o man i am drooling :D

If you do it, I would try to not eat ALOT cause you know it's going to taste good, ease off the butter AND take the dietary enzymes.

I love me some seafood too and went and had 3 shrimp balls during dim sum (first time since I got dx) and paid heavily for it. But you know what? I don't regret it--They were delicious! Gotta live on the wild side once in a while.

Happy Birthday!! I'm somewhat jealous of all of you-lol. Last time I had shellfish, I had a date with a nice dungeness crab and couldn't even finish what I had on my plate before I had to run to the bathroom. Of course, that was 8 monthes ago early in my treatment when there were a lot of things I had to avoid. Now that you all have my mouth watering, I may have to try again. I had read that all shellfish were something to avoid, but I am very very glad to read that may not be true. I may have to make a date with a lobster soon
