Wow, did you fill anything out previously? That's huge. I decided against using Humira for a few reasons, one being it was just way out of my price range (around $400 a month). It would be nice if we could know this before hand so we can make a better decision on our treatment options.
I totally agree. I would have switched a long time ago if I knew I could have saved this much money. The card just came in a big starter kit that my doctor had in the office. I had the meds with me from the pharmacy and they had a starter kit with ice packs, travel case for the pens, and a informational CD. However.....
Update....Medco called me back and said that they don't participate in the program so I'm out of luck. I don't have a choice of mail order pharmacies and am forced to use mail order after 3 retail pharmacy refils. They do however participate in a program called "Humira Share Program". I called and inquired and I guess these cards are tough to come by. I called the program directly and they said that you can't enroll without a card. They are only given out by doctors. Co-pay Plus is still a huge discount if your pharmacy accepts it. If I could choose my pharmacy, I'd drive all over the place looking for one who accepts it.
I also contacted My-Humira directly and they were unsure if the "humira share program" is still distributing cards. It's still active, but possibly not for new enrollment.
I'll update this thread if I find anymore info.
I was perfectly fine paying my $250/90 days untill I knew I could get it for free. Now I feel cheated. I guess that's par for the course these days. The only luck I have is bad luck.
