the history:
I have always had a mild case of CD....I have never had surgery, had only one fissure. My biggest problem has always been the big D and therefore i lose weight and have very poor absorbtion of the required vitamins and nutrients.
usually any time I use the john, it has been mildly to severely painful....and that is real problem when you have to go 10 to 20 times a day. I usually have this problem 5 to 6 days a week.
When I started taking LDN my stool became formed for the first time in years...the pain associated with my BM's also subsided to a very low and bearable level. I also cut down to muliple trips only 3 or 4 days a week and the numer of trips went from the 10/20 a day to 4 or 5 a day. A very real improvement....but....my absorbtion was still very poor. After a few months I decided that the LDN was not doing as much as i needed so i moved to Humira a few months ago.
the stools have remained formed, the number of trips for the most part stayed on the low end....my absorbtion went way up and for the first time in years I am in the normal or low normal group for all areas of nutrition....
Now the problem
On the Wednesday before thanksgiving (around midnight) i started getting a severe cramp/pain in my stomach and i started to fell a little sick. Not sure if i was sick from something in my gut or from the very severe pain (pain can and does cause nausea)....I took some pepto thinking it was the flu or food born....by sunrise I had only slept about 2 hours and was up out of bed throwing up my guts...if i was not throwing up i was passing so much poop that I had to wonder where it was all coming from....by mid morning I had thrown up at least 15 times and passed even more poop. I should mention that all BM's were formed...and fairly solid. by noon it all started to settle down and then by late afternoon i was fine...tired but fine. The only thing that kept me from saying it was food born illness was that i never had a fever. the cramping was the worst ...and I had never had it so bad.
The next week...it hit again, the cramps were just as intense, but I got through the 6 to 8 hour period without actually throwing up...felt like it, but I fought it off. still I passed so much stool in that time, all formed, but in amounts that single person should be able to hold.
Now this week...a repeat of the first time...throwing up, major out-put of stool, and cramps that make one think strongly about
life itself. It lasted for about 8 hours and then right as rain as if nothing ever happened.
In between each bout i still have regular BM's 9so nothing is being stored0 ...I eat fairly normal meals twice a day, not much in the way of snacks. I drink lots of fluids. The attacks have all been on a tuesday or wednesday (always a week apart). I take my Humira every other Friday so I don't see an easy connection there.
i am wondering...could this be a blockage of some sort/ anyone ever had this kind of symptom?
Any help is welcome....
