Most Weight lost

I just kinda wanted to gauge what type of loss or gain crohn's has done to us. Myself I have gone down in weight a total of 125lbs or 57kgs or 9 stone. What about everyone else?

Same with me. I was overweight to begin with. Im right at about the average weight for a male at 6foot but I'd like to gain 10lbs more.

I was 260 pds i now weigh in at 135pds, 10 pds up from when i was diagnosed, but the entocort is making it a bit easier to eat...still pain after meals, but not as bad as what it once was...i start imuran today, so we will see how that goes.....

2 weeks ago when I was weighed at my doc's I was 92 lbs......told I had til yesterday to put weight on or be tube fed.....NEVER again so I have been eating like crazy and lots of potatoes ...lol......I would go days w/o eating due to depression and pain ...........no more
Cait ( daughter says if I dont eat she wont and I will not have her as a teen with eating problems) so I now weigh 111lbs

I do feel a heck of a lot better at this weight I have to say ............Lesson well learned .......

I'm down to 100 lbs.  My NP got alarmed at 103 and I made an effort to eat more. I stayed at 103 for awhile but one by one the lbs drop off.  I think I eat fine, not a lot different from how I used to eat when I had less problems from this.

pre-crohn's  178lbs.

post crohn's  between 140-150lbs.

my weight bounces up and down.

To all those women who say that you can't lose cellulite, I say, oh yes you can! My most precipitous weight loss was from 138 to 105 in less than three weeks after my first resection. Tube feeds for six weeks prior had got my weight stabilized and the nutritionists and docs were satisfied that it was safe to do the surgery. I was eating fine and released from hospital five days after surgery and then wham, I developed a walled abscess that went septic. Who would ever believe that you could burn so many calories just laying in bed! Abscesses literally eat you up.

I remember the first time my husband saw me, after my 3 hour emergency ambulance trip from our regional hospital to the teaching hospital where my surgery had been performed. He just looked in horror when I stood up to give him a hug. "Who stole your ass?" he asked. Sticks for legs and no bumps on top.

but then before my next surgery 12 years later, my weight had ballooned to 180. Now I weigh 130, which is on the thin side of just right.

I'm a 5'9" female and was healthy at 145 and lost 40 pounds while sick with Crohn's. I've been in remission since surgery, so now I'm back to my healthy weight again.

when i was diagnosed in 2004 my weight went down to 84kgs i now weighh 112 but when im relapsing my weight just falls off who needs "slim fast" lol.

i dont even put weight on with steroids 41 and i only weigh 112 good thing is i still fit into kids clothes and its cheaper for me i have a wardrobe in every size lol 8,10,12, but very rarely fit into 12s that was when i was young and healthy lol!those days are long gone im afraid.

Only disadvantage with this chronic disease is because we cant tolerate food at times and suffer from malnutrition we cant keep the weight on when people look at us im sure they think we have anoerxia!

Until you are in postion people looking in from the outside dont fully understand my parents dont even understand me at times!and im 41 lol

When I was first diagnosed with Crohns I went from 118 to 93 lbs in less than 3 weeks. I weigh 136 now and am 5'5". I am comfortable right now with my weight and consider myself for the most part to be in remission. But in the past 3-4 months I have lost anywhere between 10-15 lbs. Why who knows, maybe its the low residue diet, and the doc doesn't seem to be too concerned yet. I don't mind it during healthy times if I gain a little weight, I always feel like I like to keep a little cushion weight on. Must be why most of us have a couple different sizes in our closets. LOL

Wow. I don't feel right about posting after reading all of your responses! In high school I hovered around 98 lbs--I was naturally thin. I ate three honeybuns every morning for breakfast. Years later when I found out I was pregnant (before dx, but after first symptoms) I was down to 92 lbs. I was never one to fluctuate, so this seemed a bit odd.

When I'm healthy, I stay around 98, but last Christmas I was down to 88. Not pretty! I was a skeleton! This summer was an exceptionally healthy summer and I managed to hit 100 lbs for the first time in my life! My nurse and I jumped around the office hugging everyone--no joke.

Now, my health is fading a bit, and I think my weight is starting to go with it. (But what can I expect when the only thing I can keep down is frosted flakes?)

when first diagnosed , would easily lose 45 pounds in less than 3 weeks. I still lose a lot of weight when I have a bad flare. When Diagnosed I weighed 110pouds at 5'9" tall, Now I weigh 190 since my "MS" attack 4 years ago and the use of a scooter to get around.

Here's a good one: the other day, before my gastroenteritis slammed me to the ground, I weighed 119. Within two days of D non-stop (think: scope prep on steroids!), I went to 115. They gave me three liters of IV fluids and now I'm 123! HOLY COW! Amazing what a little water weight will do...
