back from naturopath and got marker test results

naturopath was nice guy. he wants me to do two mail-in tests. one saliva for hormone levels, the other a poop test for GI stuff. he didn't want to recommend anything until the results came back on those. then I called the surgeon's office who sent me for the bowel transit marker test and the nurse said it came back "normal." as always, I cried when I got off the phone--I am so sick of tests that are normal. this is exhausting!

Dang, chica! It is so frustrating! I just stomped my foot for you! Was the nurse all chipper about it, too? It's always the icing on the cake when they get on the phone and sound like they just took uppers when they say, "And everything just looked entirely normal, that's great!" I mean, hey, I'm always relieved when they don't find any massive hemorrhaging in there, but you know how it is. I always try to humor them, but then I'm like, why do I feel the need to placate the nurses?

How is the pain today? Same as ever?

I bet your naturopath is sending your poop to the Smokey Mountain labs. They check for all sorts of parasites. I wonder what hormones he's checking in your saliva.

I totally understand. I was thrilled when my promesthus had high markers for crohns. I knew something was very wrong all along and no one could just find it before.

Hey YP, I think we need to put you on Mystery Diagnosis! I hope the naturopath can at least get you some relief from the pain.

thanks you all! yes, the nurses are always chipper when they give us what they think is good news. as for the tests, they go to Seattle and check for all kinds of parasites and estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and something else I can't remember. I am getting my nerve up to deal with the poop test. good lord, could all this be less glamorous?
