Hey Pink!
I think it's great that you and your husband would like to have kids, and I say go for it! If you get tested and you're not a carrier, then there is no way that your children can be born with the actual CF disease, but if you are a carrier, that is defintely a possibility that they could be born with CF. Both my parent were carriers, and out of the 4 kids in my family, I got CF (I'm the 3rd child), my brother is a carrier, and my 2 sisters are as healthy as a horse! Now, if you're not a carrier of the gene, your child won't have the disease because it takes a gene from each parent, but because of your husband your child will probably still end up being a carrier of the gene. But that is totally okay. I have CF, but my big brother is only a carrier, and it hasn't affected his life at all. In fact, he's getting married and his fiance' already tested for the gene and she doesn't have it, so they're all good to go! His children might be carriers, but none of them will have the disease. But being a carrier isn't harmful or life changing at all, it's just something your child would have to keep in mind for future spouses/partners. So if you aren't a character, I say good luck, and have fun with it! ;)
