Medical Staff?

I've been to a genetic counselor before. My boyfriend (at the time) and I went because we were talking of having kids, and wanted to see if he was a carrier of the gene (I myself have CF). We had to fill out some papers on family history, etc, they talked to us about what it was we wanted accomplished, and he went for a bloodtest. Results came back a month later saying he wasn't a carrier of the common 35 mutations.
