Thanks Kitt,
I love painting faces so much! Worked out yesterday I made about
£60 (very roughly $120) all by myself too! In totally we made £150-that was with the other face painter and the tobola taken into account. The money is going towards helping people physically handicapped and able bodied-have somewhere they can go to be on equal grounding to socialise and make friends. They have helped me immensly over the last year, get out there and have fun with people who I can actually talk to without feeling out of place. Oh, and with our proceeds, we've been able to buy some more glitter as we were running low.....I like making kids all sparkley most of all and parents are more likely to take an interest in our face painting and are happier to pay if they see we have a good selection of designs.
I'm no proffessional, but I still adore making kids look awsome lol.
Talking of kids, I actually beat the bullet yesterday and had a whale of a time with my nephew. I'd been a bit wary upto now, as he always has a cough or cold, and I worried it was because of me and him being so young-he's only turning 2 next month. But, after much convincing that colds is just what young kids get and that so far he's had nothing worrying even when he has spent the day in the same vicinity as me. Idecided just to dive in and have fun. We were playing for ages-just random things like playing catch with Bob the builder, I bathed him for the first time-had him screaming as I got soap in his eyes. Got him dressed, then settled down with him to watch jurassic park. Until Paul took him upstairs to bed. It was lovely. I'm glad I can put those fears I had to one side, and just enjoy time with my nephew.
Now, where has everyone gone?!? Check in people! Let me know you're still alive lol
Hugs
