uping my dosage

i started on 10 mg lexapro for my depression related to my break up with my gf. i started to she a thearapist and i was moved up to 20mg. i thought it was working at that level but the last 2 weeks ive felt really bad. idk if i should make the next step up to 30 or maybe even 40. i also am on 1 mg of adavant for annxioty.i have problems sleeping so i take that before i goto bed it helps nights i dont take it i toss and turn all night.

she recomended 30 but i think i might need 40

Do not take more of the med that what your doctor approves. There is a reason they are doing it slowly. They are wanting to make sure that your system agrees with the meds.

Kitt - I didn't vote either, I was looking for one with "yes, after consulting doctor."

Scotty- your doctor knows your situation and what else you may need to be on. I know with Lexapro the go up in increments, just like you would go down slowly if you were being changed to something else. The two of you together will find what dosage works for you, or find another med.

I worry about you, and I hope that each day gets a bit better for you. It isn't going to happen overnight, but it will happen.
