I can not believe what I am sitting here reading!! It's as if someone has
opened the blinds and let the light in!
I moved into a new home right before Christmas, and doing so when I unpacked my scales I was SHOCKED at what I saw. As both a personal trainer and advid runner...how in the WORLD did I gain 24 lbs!! I carefully watch everything I eat. I am religious with my exercise. This just didn't make sense to me. Of course, the first response from my dr. was, "well..you had lost so much weight during your rough patch..you needed to gain some back". WHAT!!!!!!!
I was on Zoloft for approx. 4 1/2 months. Was happy with the effect it was giving me for my depression, not so happy about the lack of sex drive. I took myself off of the med's for that reason alone. I have been off of Zoloft for approx 2 months now, and I've noticed a weight drop of about 5 lbs. I'm still maintaining my healthy lifestyle...and eatting well. I take in approx 1400 calories.
Looonnnngggg story short... I can not believe I found this site and thread. I was looking and looking for an answer to my sudden weight gain..and it looks like I may have found it.
I just started on Wellbutrin SR this past weekend, and I'm hoping it will help me control my depression without weight gain.
I agree with what another poster said.... Being overweight and not able to wear anything in my closet usually caused my day to start out depressed. Now I think there is hope!
Good luck and Happy wishes to all of you!
